Monthly Hike - May 28, 2017 - Crazy Horse Trail

We will explore a unique network of trails built by local volunteers on the Carp Ridge. This unique complex of wetlands, small ponds and forests provides habitat for countless species of plants and animals and within a very short distance of intense development in the west end of Ottawa.

This hike will be an opportunity to learn more about the importance of parks and protected areas in an urban environment and the need for comprehensive conservation planning before development takes place.

This hike should last between 2-3 hours.

Suggested donation of $5.

Please wear rubber boots, bug spray and long sleeves and pants as this is a wetland area and ticks are known to be in the area.
