Save the Salamanders Event at MEC

Save The Salamanders! Event organized by Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – Ottawa Valley Chapter

Did you see these tiny creatures inhabiting our forests, wetlands and rivers? Do you know how many species we have in National Capital Greenbelt, in Gatineau Park, in Ontario? Do you know where they live and what threats they are facing right now in the century of sharp environmental changes? If not, join us to meet Matt Ellerbeck, A.K.A the Salamander Man - for an insightful talk on nature's tailed amphibians...the salamanders! The presentation will feature live species both local and exotic! Matt Ellerbeck is licensed with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, and is also a Partner of the Amphibian Survival Alliance (ASA) which is the world's largest partnership for amphibian conservation.

The event will take place in the Community Room of the Mountain Equipment Coop Building, 366 Richmond Road, Ottawa, on June 23 2016, at 6:00 pm. Small donations to support our speaker who coming to Ottawa to talk about salamanders are welcomed.
