51st Annual General Meeting of CPAWS Ottawa Valley
Join us for the 51st Annual General Meeting of the Ottawa Valley Chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. We have exciting news to share about our conservation, education, stewardship and engagement programs. We look forward to discussing the future of the organization with you, especially given the challenges posed by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Following a short business meeting, Florence Daviet, our National Forest Program Director, will join us for a discussion on natural solutions to climate change. While these are not new, governments have been slow to implement them as tools to fight climate change. During the presentation, we will learn more about the ways in which parks and protected areas can help mitigate climate change, how these are being rolled out in Canada and, more importantly, how you can get involved. More information, including the meeting agenda, minutes, nominations reports and financial statements will be shared on our website under the AGM tab in the next couple of weeks. Please register using the Zoom link provided. We look forward to seeing you at this important meeting. Register in advance for this meeting:
