Update on Gatineau Park Master Plan – Virtual Event
Special Update on the renewal of the Gatineau Park Master Plan
The National Capital Commission (NCC) is in the process of renewing the Gatineau Park Master Plan. The Master Plan guides all the key actions related to the management of conservation, recreation and stewardship in the park. It is imperative that the maintenance and restoration of the park’s ecological integrity be the priority in this new plan and that issues concerning private property development, boundaries, connectivity and visitor levels and management be front and centre in the new plan.
Join us on Friday, September 18 at noon for a special Zoom webinar hosted by our Gatineau Park Committee to learn more about the master plan process, our views and recommendations with respect to the current draft plan and how you can help ensure that conservation of the park’s natural resources comes first. We will also welcome your thoughts and feedback with respect to our position. This will help inform our final submission to the NCC.
Comments are due on September 20. You can read the draft plan and make comments of your own by visiting the NCC’s Gatineau Park Master Plan page.
