Our goal is to protect at least 30% of the lands and waters of the Ottawa River Watershed by 2030. To ensure we have the team and resources in place to lead in conservation planning in the region, we are launching a new Fundraising Committee to help generate revenue for CPAWS-OV. The committee will develop and implement a fundraising plan with a particular focus on engaging new individual donors, corporate donors and revenue generation through events and partnerships.
If you have experience raising funds, drafting proposals, organizing events or just comfortable talking to people about our great work, we would like to invite you to consider joining our committee. No prior experience is needed; we welcome new ideas and are seeking keen individuals with a passion for nature.
The committee will meet monthly, on a weeknight evening, with a virtual option for those unable to attend in person. We expect the time commitment to be approximately 4 to 5 hours per month; with slightly more hours if/when events may occur.
